BEHIND THE BRAND
"Jewellery is filled with meaning which tells the stories of our lives."
MY STORY SO FAR.

I have always had a love for jewellery. I remember from a young age when I visited my grandparents, my favourite thing to do would be to get my nanas jewellery box from her dressing table, sit on the bed with her and go through all the treasures inside. I was fascinated by the story and meaning behind each piece of jewellery. Most of it wasn't worth anything, but had huge sentimental value.

When I was 8 my mum took me to a local jewellers to buy me my first ring for my birthday, just as my nana did with her when she was a child. I remember being so excited, not only that I was about to have my very own ring, but that we were essentially repeating that same special mother and daughter moment that they once had - which is now a treasured memory, and one that will always put a smile on my face.

In 2015 I took a short silversmith course at the Manchester School of Jewellery where I learnt the basic techniques - and that's where my jewellery venture began. Minimo Jewellery launched in 2017, and after 7 years of living in Manchester, I made the decision to move back to my hometown, Cleethorpes.

It's such a privilege and humbling feeling to think that something I have created may carry on through generations - at the very least, I allow that thought to carry me as I create.

THE BRAND.

I wanted to create a brand that represented my own style, simple + minimalistic, and that's how I came up with the name 'minimo' - which means 'minimal' in Italian.
Each piece of jewellery has been designed and handcrafted by myself in my studio by the sea. My designs have an imperfect, organic finish - a reminder that in a world where we strive for perfection, the beauty of life lies within its quirks and flaws.
Each piece of Minimo Jewellery is beautifully packaged using recycled materials.
